ADAS

Ensuring Driver Safety

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are becoming standard equipment in today’s new vehicles. These systems are designed to assist drivers to prevent collisions by displaying alerts, providing camera images or by taking instantaneous control of the vehicle.

We use the Autel MaxiSys ADAS equipment which provides the original complete diagnostic functionality, and comprehensive and precise ADAS calibration - making it the ideal tool for remote calibrations.

Why Do I Need to Calibrate?

A vehicle safety system responds to the data provided by the camera, radar and other sensors fitted to the vehicle. The data has to be accurate for the safety features to work correctly to ensure the safety of the driver. Even a slight misalignment of the camera or radar sensor could mean the difference of avoiding an accident or not, which is why when a calibration is carried out it is crucial for the alignment to be within 1mm.

When Should I Recalibrate?

Calibrations must be carried out again after many common maintenance and accident repairs, including:

  • Wheel Alignment or Axle Geometry Adjustment
  • Shock Absorber or Coil Spring Replacement
  • Tyre Replacement
  • Track Control Arm Adjustment or Replacement
  • Steering Rack Adjustment or Replacement
  • Windscreen Replacement
  • Front or Rear Collision Repair
  • Simple Bodywork Repairs Including Bumper Removal
